Mr Michael Griffin AM Integrity Commissioner
Mr Michael Griffin AM is the Integrity Commissioner and head of the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI). His appointment commenced on 19 January 2015.
Mr Griffin was admitted to legal practice in NSW as a solicitor and barrister in 1988. He was a senior lawyer with the firm of Spooner & Hall. He served in the Australian Army reaching the rank of Brigadier and saw Active Service in Somalia and Iraq. He held senior roles at the Veterans Review Board, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Refugee Review Tribunal, the Migration Review Tribunal and the Australian Crime Commission and was the Director of Military Prosecutions prior to his appointment as Integrity Commissioner. He is also the Chairman of the Board of the Veterans Centre Sydney Northern Beaches.
Mr Griffin was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2009 for his service to administrative law.
