Operation Barnett was a joint investigation between ACLEI and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The investigation considered allegations that a former ATO employee had engaged in corrupt conduct by sending sensitive taxpayer information to their personal e-mail address. The investigation did not find any evidence that the employee engaged in corrupt conduct. As such, no corruption findings were made by the Integrity Commissioner.
