Operation Johnston considered an allegation that a Serco Detention Service Officer was receiving money in exchange for providing drugs to detainees at Villawood Immigration Detention Centre (VIDC). The joint investigation by ACLEI and the Department of Home Affairs did not identify any evidence of the Serco Detention Service Officer receiving money from, or providing contraband to, any detainees at VIDC. As a result, the Integrity Commissioner did not make any findings of corruption.
